Description

The St. Pauls Co-operative Winery was founded in 1907.

215 wine-growers - members of the St. Pauls Co-operative Winery - cultivate over 175 hectares of vineyards around St. Pauls.

Mild climatic conditions and suitable soils form the best prerequisite for the production of our wines.

A limited production of our wines and a careful selection of the grapes already in the vineyards guarantee for the high quality of our wines.

St. Pauls/San Paolo is one of the oldest and most beautiful winegrowing localities in South-Tyrol. The grapes ripen under ideal climatic conditions on the terraces and on the softly sloping hills surrounding St. Pauls, ranging in altitude from 250 to 700 metres.

According to our philosophy we care for our products from the blossom of the grapes until the fermentation of our wines and beyond.

Our utmost goal is to guarantee top quality at reasonable price levels (to anyone's pleasures of life).

KG St. Pauls stands for optimal combining of tradition and innovation. Our experienced cellar master takes a personal interest in assessing the quality of each wine.

The many awards at national and international wine competitions are both confirmation and incentive to us.

Natural cultivation of the vines, consultation and training courses of our wine producing farmers as well as a strictly controlled and reduced production are the secrets of our top wines.

Are the long-standing birthplaces of our high-quality wines, especially of those of the "Exclusive" line.

The interaction of location, soil, climate and modern technologies of vinification (winemaking) give our wines their typical temperament and character.

St. Pauls, although being a small village, is famous for its cultural life strictly connected to the wine.

Wine-culture-weeks (Weinkulturwochen) are organized each year at the end of July and beginning of August. It's a must for any wine connoisseur and an inside tip for the cultural scene. St. Pauls Co-operative Winery is one of the main sponsors for the many events in the field of arts, music, literature and gastronomy.

The high spot of these oenological and cultural weeks is the open-air candle-light dinner at a hundred metres long dining table in the historical and most beautiful road in St. Pauls. Gourmets from all over book a seat early in order not to miss the specialities, created by the star-cook Herbert Hintner, accompanied with most excellent wines.
