Valle d'Aosta

Description

Located in the northwestern part of Italy, Valle d'Aosta boasts a record together with France: the Mont Blanc, the highest mountain in Europe with its 4810m. In a mostly mountainous territory could not miss natural beauty (protected by the National Park of Gran Paradiso), world-renowned ski resorts (Courmayer and Breuil-Cervinia), medieval castles (Fénis, Verrés, Point Saint Martin, Graines, Aymavilles). In Aosta are still visible Roman remains of the ancient Augusta Praetoria (the Arch of Augustus, the Roman Theater and Porta Praetoria). The Church of Sant'Orso also worth a visit.
