Verano (Vöran in German) is a small and picturesque village in the province of Bolzano, set on a sunny plateau of Tschögglberg, at about 1200 m o.s.l., surrounded by an idyllic landscape of pastures and orchards, not too far from Merano.
The ancient and modern coexist in Verano: barns with thatched roofs and the biggest PV system in South Tyrol.
It is a relaxing location, during the summer, and the ideal place for skiing lovers, during the winter period, due to the nearby ski circuits of Merano 2000 and San Vigilio.
Do not miss a visit to the Knottnkino, a sort of open air cinema where you can sit and admire the spectacular scenery of nature.
