Grape picking is carried out by hand according to old country traditions, for the best product quality.

The limited production imposed by biological cultivation guarantees above all a better quality the year later. Products are only proposed in vintage years in which they reach their best researched characteristics.

The composition of the land rich in structure and marl, together with the climate of the area, contribute to the high quality level of our wines. These are recognizable for the typical mark which links this to the production territory.

The wines have typical perfumes and tastes linked to structure and a suggestive character and have a long conservation period.

Over the years, our wines have received important recognition at international level and the newspapers have elected them amongst the best wines in Tuscany.

LAVACCHIO FARM, THE AGRITOURISM

The farm holiday consists of four farm houses, which have been fully restored respecting the environment and the true Tuscany traditions.

Very spacious, refined walls and unquestionable detail in an enchanting and evocative countryside, assuring their guests an unforgettable stay.

THE RESTAURANT

The restaurant "Mulino a Vento" well known and appreciated since the 1940's for its cooking inspired by the most authentic Tuscany traditions. It takes its name from the windmill of the village, recently restored, and where even today the farm grinds biological wheat to obtain the best flour used in the production of pasta, focacce (pizza-bread) and cakes.

First rate products are used in the kitchen, closely linked to the territory and the change of seasons: to the precise interpretation of the Tuscany cooking have been combined some jewels of the traditional Italian cooking. A warm and relaxing atmosphere, combined with professional and cordial staff who will accompany you to your table, making it all very special.

Hidden amongst the green countryside in perfect harmony with the environment, the restaurant with its large and fresh terrace offers the rich and fascinating landscape of the surrounding hillsides of Florence. The choice of soft traditional furnishings, blended with the decorations in contrast to the false-ceilings and the pavement made from disused barrels of nearly a hundred years in age. These reflect the sensibility towards the more authentic traditions.

The location of the Farm holiday, secluded and peaceful, allows it use by alternating between cheerful ceremonies to scholarly congresses.

With your suggestions, buffets and banquets are prepared for whatever occasion and needs (typically Tuscany, game, international, Liguria, and around.) and whatever you want, we will be prepared to organise everything else.
