Nomi

Description

Nomi is a picturesque town in the province of Trento, set along the rght bank of the Adge river, at the foot of the Corona Mount; it is surrounded by a suggestive natural landscape, made up of fields, apple trees and vineyards, the all interspersed by farmhouses that reveal the agricultural imprint of the ancient feudal village.
It was mentioned for the first time in a document of 1188 ("de Nomio") and developed, during the centuries, around Palazzo Vecchio.
Attractions:
- the XIX century parish Church of Madonna della Consolazione, where it is possible to admire a precious XV century painting;
- Palazzo Vecchio, fortified residence of the Renaissance period, where the gallery and the tower of the ancient castle are still visible. It is realized in dry stone walls.
-the noble residences in the historical center of the town, with beautiful frescoed rooms, balconies and portals;
- Taio biotype;
- the bike path.
