Description

Established in 1931, cantina Rotaliana is a highly esteemed company, both for its excellent products and also for the important economic and social role that it plays in the heart of the Campo Rotaliano area, where it is located.

Ever since its establishment, this company has been able to grow, change and improve thanks to a successful combination of innovation and tradition.

This blend has produced excellent results, the winery has hit the mark, and today inspires the business culture of the winery; a culture that attaches great value to the origins and history of the wine, but which at the same time looks to the future.

Due to this dynamic and innovative spirit, and in order to satisfy its stakeholders and customers, since the 2002 vintage the winery's production activity was moved from the historic buildings in downtown Mezzolombardo and set up in the brand new headquarters located at the entrance of the town.

This new head-office is a prestigious architectural development and it is equipped with the very latest equipment that makes it capable of rapidly meeting the demand of an increasingly expanding and competitive international market.

However, the perfect balance between innovation and tradition is not the only reason for the success of cantina Rotaliana. In fact, there is no doubt that another major factor is its lovely, favourable position in the heart of Piana Rotaliana, a land specifically suited to the cultivation of some of the best wines in Trentino. This area, defined by Cesare Battisti as "being the most beautiful vineyard-garden of Europe", is the home of Teroldego Rotaliano, a great red wine, refined and modern, acclaimed by the connoisseurs for its character, its full-bodied flavour and its particular bouquet that epitomizes the spirit of the Trentino people.

The production vineyard of cantina Rotaliana, that in Trentino stands for Teroldego, is mainly located within the Piana Rotaliana. Crossing this area to reach the nearby ski slopes on the Paganella highland or to spend some days in the Brenta Dolomites, surrounded by forests and Alpine lakes, do not miss the chance to enjoy Teroldego Rotaliano, its land of great charm and its people.

During your stay in Mezzolombardo you can enjoy the taste of the prestigious red and white wines of cantina Rotaliana. Why not spend the night in one of the many comfortable farmhouses especially for visitors of the Campo Rotaliano and enjoy the warm hospitality of the local people?

Let cantina Rotaliana cast its spell on you!

If you want to make your holiday a magical one, come and discover the secrets of our winery.

Immerse yourself in an extraordinary, unique experience, that will awaken all your senses.

Give yourself up to the pleasure, the pleasure of cantina Rotaliana wines.

Our production vineyard covers an area of about 400 hectares, mainly located within the Piana Rotaliana and also in some neighbouring villages near Mezzolombardo, such as Nave San Rocco, Zambana, Lavis and Giovo.

Moreover, in the municipalities of Faedo and Trento there are some important hill farmsteads: Maso Cadino Alto, located in a wonderful hollow on the high hill of Faedo surrounded and protected by high rocky cliffs, and Maso Saracini, an ancient and noble estate established in the year 1550 overlooked by Monte Calisio on the hill of Trento, where Müller Thurgau and Chardonnay reach a pinnacle of refinement and elegance.

Speaking about wine starting from its terroir (as the French say), and therefore from its origins, can seem a paradox, but it isn't. In fact, without forgetting the importance of the wine growers' meticulous work and the specific grape variety, the land is the element that has the greatest impact on strengthening, softening and improving the vine's vigour, determining its virtues and final and distinctive feature.

Located in the heart of one of the most beautiful wine-growing areas of Europe, since its establishment cantina Rotaliana has been promoting and safeguarding its land and native vines.

Today, thanks to this business culture and keeping the traditional style, cantina Rotaliana continues to produce elegant wines and grappa able to embody the distinguishing mark of its origins.
