Beautiful and relaxing mountain village in the province of Trento, located in the northern part of the Val di Non, Rumo is nestled at the foot of Maddalene, along the right bank of the river Pescara. Surrounded by the unspoilt nature of the Valle di Rumo, Appendix Alpine Val di Non, Rumo is the ideal starting point for exciting excursions, outdoor walks on foot or by mountain bike or trekking along the well-maintained footpaths.
The discovery of artifacts dating back to the Neolithic Ages, certifies the presence of settlements in the valley since ancient times, but the first stable ones can be attributed to the Reti, the population was subjugated by the Roman troops in the I century, as we see from Table Clesiana, in 46 A.D. Emperor Claudius granted Roman citizenship to the local population with its own edict.
The partial isolation that characterized the life of the Valle di Rumo was, in a sense, one of the factors that distinguishes it from the rest of the Val di Non, especially from the architectural point of view.

Not to miss:
- the beautiful mansions, often adorned with frescoes on the façade, decorated stone doorways and balconies;
- the numerous votive chapels, dating back to the XVII century plague;
- the ruins of Castel Placeri, the only one of four castles that once existed in the Rumo area;
- the Church of St. Vigil, in the village of Lanza, where it is possible to admire a wonderful view of the entire valley;
- the Church of Sant'Uldarico in the hamlet of Lower Court, in which is preserved a most valuable fresco depicting the Last Supper, the Baschenis of 1471.
- the Church of St. Paul, in the village of Marcena, dating back to the XV century, much appreciated for the beautiful frescoes and a fully functional XVIII century organ;
- the fresco depicting St. George, dating from the XV century and recently restored, located in Piazza Marcena.
