Within the Campania region you will find the Ocone estate, Agricola del Monte, in the town of Ponte, within the province of Benevento and right in the heart of ancient Sannio.

This area has produced excellent wine dating back to ancient times, making a name for itself both in Italy and abroad within the last quarter of the 20th Century thanks to the evolution and progress achieved in wine making by the wine growers of the area.

The OCONE family has been producing wine since 1910 and has always believed in the value of this land, selecting time honoured quality vines and enhancing their particular characteristics.

In the district of Ponte the OCONE family has, with unrelenting commitment, dedicated themselves to winemaking since 1910, confirming its faith in the wines of the area. During the 1930's the wine estate developed with the advent of Giuseppe's son Luigi who in 1954 established the first refrigeration and bottling system. During the 1960's Luigi Ocone dedicated himself above all to the planting and vinification of local grape variety vineyards such as Aglianico, Greco and Falanghina.

During the 1970's Luigi's son, Domenico joined his father at the estate. Domenico, along with Luigi Pastore (responsible for production), and Silvio Belfiore (responsible for administration), more and more lead the estate, oriented to the improvement of the quality of their wines. With the careful selection of the various qualities of memorable wines, their characteristics enhanced through the continual introduction of technological innovation, together with the family's long experience and passion for their work, bring the firm's production, year after year, to a higher quality standard. The Ocone team now welcomes Nicola Pastore, Luigi's son, to manage all communication and public relations for their ever growing activities.
