Description

Taurasi, southern Italy's authentic wine capital, is a picturesque town in the Valle del Calore that is located 400 meters above sea level in the Province of Avellino. The medieval village that grew up around the Castle is surrounded by the typical vegetation of the central Irpine area, with beautiful scenic locations dedicated to the vineyards that grow the noble controlled and guaranteed Taurasi grape. The area has been inhabited since prehistory, as demonstrated by archeological finds from the Neolithic Age, and its fields were intensely cultivated by the Romans. Since 1993, this highly appreciated wine has been recognized as a DOCG and is skillfully aged in the wine cellars of an area considered to be one of the most beautiful in Italy.
