Set at 450 m. above the sea level, San Bernardino del Lago consists of three attractive stone farmhouses typical of the region. Carefully restored they retain their original character and have been divided into eight comfortable apartments. The apartments are cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The owners live in three of them. The houses are in a quiet position with lovely views and are reached by an unmade road approx. 1 Km long. The countryside around consists of gentle wooded slopes interspersed with cultivated valleys where grain is grown. Each apartment has its own entrance and outside private pergola equipped with table and chairs; we give bath,bed,kitchen linen and tools. In a few minutes driving on reach Rapolano Terme, famous thermal centre, with 2 establishment. Breakfast available on request. We are in the Chianti area, around us: Siena (30 km), Arezzo (35 km), Pienza (25 km), Cortona (35 km), Montalcino (35 km), and Montepulciano (25 km), San Quirico d'Orcia (30 km). Firenze is about 90 km away, Rome is 190 km and Pisa is about 190 km away.
A fantastic lake of 11.000 mq is only 100 meters far from the house and canbe used to fish. At guest's disposal: a beautiful swimming pool 6X12 meters,equipped with beach-bed deckchair to have sun-bath and relax; a huge barbecue and a big wood stove; a football camp and a beachvolley one.

Through our 90 hectars it's possible to go for a walk and excursions. Across the thick wood you can admire the beauty and the greatness of nature, and often you can meet roe, squirrel and porcupine. You can taste our natural products such as wine, oil, jam ana marmelade, honey and truffels.
