Reggio Calabria and Aspromonte

Description

The province of Reggio Calabria is the southest one of the Italian peninsula, overlooks both the tyrrhenian sea and the Jonic one and is located just 3.2km from Sicily. Wonderful coastlines, crystal clear water, important archaeological finds (at Reggio Calabria, Locri, Gioia Tauro) and museums which preserves many historical and artistic works of art (such as the two Greek Riace Bronze warriors).
The Aspromonte massive is situated in the southern part of the Appenine chain: it seems a giant pyramid, near the sea which reaches 2000 m of height with its many mountain peaks, rich in rivers and watercourses and covered by the Mediterranean marquis.
