Between the two southern arms of Lake Como extends a large area named the triangle because of its shape. Its northern point is Bellagio, called the pearl of "Lake Como" because of its fine position and its enchanting sites (e.g. Villa Melzi with its gardens). Southwards there is the group of Brianza lakes and the important town of Erba. Around them is a collection of hamlets, historical sites and natural curiosities (caves, gorges, earth pyramids, waterfalls).
