Adler Thermae SPA Resort Bagno Vignoni
Adler Thermae SPA Resort - Bagno Vignoni, San Quirico d'Orcia (SI) - Tel. +39 0577889000
Adler Thermae SPA Resort is located in Val d'Orcia, near the historic centre of Bagno Vignoni. It is the ideal place for those who desire to revitalize body and mind, thanks to the healing properties of the thermal waters. They are a unique mixture of sulphuric and bicarbonate waters enriched with the calcareous elements of the natural surroundings. Bagno Vignoni's thermal waters were appreciated either by the Etruscans and the Romans, and by Lorenzo de' Medici and Pope Pius II Piccolomini.
The hotel is perfectly integrated in the hill landscape and there is a large parking area. It gives its guests a pleasant sensation of calm and wellness. Bathrobes, towels and slippers are provided by the hotel.
Beauty treatments are several and I would recommend to book them in advance.
We decided to have a relaxing bath in "Grotta Salina" (underground salt bath), indoor and outdoor thermal pool at 36°C, together with the sauna ("Grotta del Filosofo" - steam bath in the Travertine Grotto -, "Olivae" - olive wood sauna -, Salino Etruscan salty steam bath and "Artemisia" - herbal steam room - only for women for some hours every day). Beauty treatmenst also include fruit, water and herb tea: purification and moisturizing are a routine at Adler Thermae!
The room was spacious and overlooked the pool and the garden: only the bathroom was a little bit too small! Breakfast was generous and dinner fantastic with a different menu choice each night! the meat was really excellent! Large buffet of vegetables, bread, cheeses and cakes (so delicious!); good selection of wines.
I strongly recommend Adler Thermae SPA Resort for its relaxing atmosphere, the excellent cook, the healing properties of the thermal waters and the friendly staff!
