Capuano Castle
It is the oldest Neapolitan Castle named after the nearby Porta Capuana. It was the Norman king Guglielmo I who built it around 1165; Federico II di Svevia and, later, the Angevin kings enlarged and partly modified it. It was renewed again and again until the sixteenth century when the viceroy Pedro de Toledo made it a Palace of Justice and a prison.
