This small town is at the centre of the Regional Park of the Matese, with its green valley, clean air and lovely geographic position. It is rich in historic and artistic monuments, in addition to a diverse flora and fauna.
It is the natural entrance to the Regional Park of the Matese and it is an excellent starting point for healthy excursions and hikes to the tops of the highest peaks in the Matese range, and beloved destination of potholers who come for the Karst caves, while skiers can easily reach Bocca della Selva which has ski-lift facilities and cross-country trails.
