Bagnone
Description
Bagnone is a small town in the province of Massa Carrara, set on a rocky hill, along the homonymous river. The area was inhabited since the Prehistorian Age but the first historical documents dated back to the VI-VII century. During the XIV century it was dominated by the Visconti family and in the XV century it was conquered by Florence.
The village is characterised by a beautiful castle with a cilindric tower and a small church, built before the XI century. The Church of San Leonardo and the Church of San Terenzio are interesting too.
