Banear is a relatively young winery that was founded in 1978. The cellar is located in Treppo Grande, Friuli, north-eastern Italy, and at the moment runs more than 450 hectares of vineyards located in the best cJimatic areas for viniculture: the Collio and Colli Orientali del Friuli, that lie on the hills near the Slovenian border on fertile soil, and the Friuli Grave, that stretches the length of the Tagliamento's planes.
From these three "Controlled Denomination of Origin" zones the selected grapes of Friuli reach Banear where they become our signature wines. The vinifications processes are based on the traditional methods carefully integrated with the utmost modern technologiej.
The white grapes are "white wine made" - the grapes are de-stemmed and then softly pressed. After removing the accumulated sediment, the temperature of the grape-must is immediately and meticulously eontrolled to star! the fermentation. The same care is used for red wines and quality white wines, sue h as Picolit and the white barriqued.
The grape is fermented on the sediments for varying peri od s, depending on type of grape and vintage, and is then left to rest to refine its primary and seeondary bouquets.
The wines are aged in oak casks for varying lenghts of time, depending on the desired profile.
Banear has its headquarters in the middle of Cormôr's natural park, in Italy, in the province of Udine.
This is not a boundary, but a precise choice.
All the people working at Banear work with an environmental impact as close to zero as possible; proof is the imminent award of the ISO14001 certification, legally proving this behavior.
