The harmonious colours and the unique contour of the Crete Senesi embrace the fifteenth-century sighting-tower giving hospitality to the Relais Tenuta Palazzaccio.
The structure was recently restored to offer all the modern comforts without missing the charm and the magic atmosphere of its secular history.
The suggestive way leading to the entrance drive and the contour of the Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore at the horizon are the prelude to the sensation of quiet trasmitted to guests walking around the small squares, looking like open-air sitting room, the granary turned into a beauty center and the low brick-structures preserving rooms.
Actually the owners live in the ancient palace. The building period is the 17th century and it was a sighting-tower.
During the centuries were made some modifications completed at the beginning of the 2005: the beauty of the careful restoration is near to high quality comfort. At the ground floor there is the room for the breakfast, where in the morning an international buffet is served.
Next to the palace there is the great private park setted on the green gullys of the Tuscan Crete. In the park there is the panoramic swimming-pool faced the valley, from where is possible to see Montalcino. Near the ex lemon-room and the central square of the hamlet, there is the gymnasium with a small swimming-pool and hidromassage usable in every moment of the day, ideal place to allow the guest to relax and regenerate themselves in the quiet of the country. At disposal of the guests there are a meeting-room, a private chapel with the possibility to organize wedding on request and a private parking.
There is not a restaurant inside the Relais, but there are a lot of good restaurants in the near villages, like the Abbey of Monte Oliveto Maggiore (4 km), Montalcino(25 km), San Giovanni d'Asso (5 km), Asciano (6km) and Pienza (25 km). The distance from the Relais to Siena is 26 km.
The firm produces wine and oil, acquirable at the reception.
Every single room in the Relais Tenuta Palazzaccio takes its name from a flower. Flowers have become the leading motives of the internal decoration and the background of the old precious furniture. Each room is embellished with drapes, curtains, carpets and mirrors which have been carefully selected by taking into great account both the colours and the features of the place.
