The Villa

The Villa is currently a favorite home of Donna Chiara Visconti di Modrone, daughter of Duchess Antonella Visconti di Modrone. With remarkable dedication and enthusiasm she promotes the quality and style Varramista wishes to represent in the world through its namesake wine and hospitality.

The Villa's beauty is enhanced by a magnificent Italian garden and an extensive park where guests can admire the lake where ducks were once bred for hunting.

Over 400 hectares of land - guests can savour the pleasure of strolling in nature's midst or even enjoy a mountain bike excursion.

Poderi

The estate currently numbers 3 holdings (La Frasca, Il Monsonaccio, la Lecceta), which are rented out for short periods, including week-ends, weeks and months with a wide selection of apartment types. Total accommodation capacity: over 70 beds.

Other three holdings are currently undergoing renovations and we shall soon inform you about them on this website. They are Il Tondo, Il Molino and Il Castellare.

All apartments are furnished according to the local tradition. They are also equipped with every comfort and modern day facilities including satellite TV and the Internet.Our swimming pool accompanies every house.

Guests - both visitors to Tuscany and health fanatics - seeking relaxation are fascinated when they stroll along the ridges of our hills amidst neat rows of grapevines and luxuriant vegetation.

Such a place reconciles man and nature: the green shades of oak, chestnut and silver fir woods blend and merge with the yellow hues of cereal and sunflower fields creating the chromatic colour scheme that inspired the famous painters who were known as "macchiaioli".
