Our tavern, the "Osteria", is located in what used to be an ancient cellar. Thanks to a thorough renovation, the big oak casks have been replaced by elegant and cleverly restored tables.
Allegra Antinori, who has personally taken care of the furnishing, has decided to preserve some historical items such as the beautiful cartwheels hanging on the walls and some pieces of furniture recovered from the nearby Antinori estates. An Finnish botanic collection of 115 items, photographs from the late 1800s and painting of the surrounding lands are displayed on the walls. An impressive age-old wooden wine press, recovered during the renovation works, now dominates the nearby wine shop.
In the summertime, our guests can enjoy the cool hill breeze dining outside under a pretty porch surrounded on all sides by "Badia" vineyards. During winter nights, our guests are welcomed under wide brickwork vaults that still release a light scent of must. The search for true flavors guides our daily work. We have made a lasting decision to preserve traditional recipes and ingredients but we propose them through the creativity and inspiration of today's young Tuscan cooks: this is what true and scrupulous respect for the territory means to us. A Tuscan cookery that combines tradition and present day features... with some hypotheses about the future.
