What could be better than eating lunch or dinner while enjoying a view of the Grand Canal?
Naranzaria has 50 outdoor seats in the Erbaria, a peaceful area in the heart of the Rialto that overlooks the most important and beautiful waterway in the city. The interior, which can seat about 20 people, is a mix of the most traditional Venetian style (the building was constructed in the 16th century) and contemporary design, such as the Ingo Maurer lamps. The upstairs area offers an exclusive view of the Grand Canal.
The Naranzaria kitchen works from 12.00 to 15.00 and 18.00 to 23.00, but light snacks are available throughout the day until 2am.
Our speciality at Naranzaria is raw food prepared from ingredients of the highest quality.
Being located next to the fish market means that the fish at Naranzaria is always fresh, so it's perfect for eating as sushi: tuna and salmon maki, prawn and white fish nighiri, mixed uramaki. Try the Mediterranean interpretations of the chef, Akira, such as tuna, mozzarella and tomato sushi. Another favourite is the hand-carved raw meat from Piedmonte served with rocket and a side dish of fennel, taggiasca olives and oranges.
Our fish dishes also include carpaccio di spada (thinly sliced smoked swordfish), fresh baccalà (stock fish) with clams and tomatoes, and prawn cous-cous with mint. The quality of the ingredients we use also extends to salami, with the exclusive speck and prosciutti (ham) of D'Osvaldo, and goose breast, salami and speck produced by Jolanda di Colò.
At Naranzaria you can also try a selection of hot dishes, such as polenta with minced fresh tuna or duck, or a typical dish of the Veneto region like pasta e fagioli di Lamon (pasta and Lamon beans with aroma of rosemary). We also offer a rich range of cheeses: Castelmagno, Gorgonzola, Pecorino, Fossa, Montasio.
