Description

From the Roman Empire to the Reign of Naples: the history of a city with a famous past, since Pliny and Cicero. Colonnella epitomises real Abruzzo. It is located on a hill above the Adriatic coast of Teramo. The city has a perfect climate for the production of excellent-quality wines.

The huge Lepore farm is located on a clayey, medium-texture soil exposed to a very favourable micro-climate: a very suitable area for grapes ripening. Land, climate and passion: this perfect combination allows Lepore wine-making company to offer wines with an intense fragrance, warm taste and right tannic content.

Lepore is a synonym for quality, care and passion. This wine-making company pays significant attention to differences and details. 40 hectares of vineyard in a favourable location on the hills of Teramo, above the Adriatic Sea. A 20-year experience in vineyard work.Advanced wine-making technologies.

250 hectares of vineyards bear witness of the tradition and reputation of this territory, the cradle of Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Cerasuolo and Passera delle Vigne wines. Colonnella has been one of "the recognised home countries of excellent wine" for centuries.

Growing grapes and producing good wine have always been and still are the most natural activities for Lepore. A continuous and careful monitoring of the whole wine-making and refining process follows grape harvesting.

The grapes processing and selection are Lepore's strengths. This Company is famous for paying significant attention to the "manual" processes. The grapes are manually picked in this area with a particular micro-climate: this is the finishing touch to excellent DOC wines.
