In the shadow of the Castle rich in history and legend, immortalized by the writer Ippolito Nievo the past two decades (if not more) have passed by quickly.

For us, thet went by in a flash as we discovered day after day traditions old and new, to be preserved or created, for our guests at La Taverna.

Our cuisine comes from the sea, visible in the distance from the top of the Castle, when the sky is clear.

Our cuisine comes from the mountains that enclose the region. It springs from the imagination and ability of our cooks who work with the passing seasons and the terroir, who know how to find and use the best produce that land and sea can offer, old and new traditions of Friuli and elsewhere.

Year after year, case after case, bottle after bottle, our wine cellar grew with us for our own pleasure and the pleasure of our guests. So that we can now proudly present a cellar experts say is one of the most beautiful and best-stocked in Friuli.
