Each detail of Hotel Santa Caterina reflects the love with which we do our work. Materials, furniture and decor were chosen one by one, with the patience and passion for which we are known, to create a magical, pleasant location where one can absorb the hospitable culture, the art and history that characterize this extraordinary area. The age-old building that hosts this welcoming hotel in Pompeii dates back to the 1600's and was recently renovated to meet all comfort and service requirements.
We greet our guests in a cheerful and friendly atmosphere, surrounded by our absolute attention, making your visit to Pompeii truly unforgettable. We offer guided tours to the spectacular excavations in Pompeii or day trips to Amalfi and Capri.
Each morning our guests are served a generous, delicious breakfast based on typical Neapolitan pastries, such as Sfogliatelle. Guests can have breakfast in our beautiful garden during the summer season.
And for connoisseurs of fine food and wine, our family run Zì Caterina restaurant is located just a stroll from the hotel and is considered one of the city's finest. You can discover and taste all traditional Neapolitan dishes, especially those based on fish.
Guests who arrive at the hotel in Pompeii by car can use the large attended and free parking lot provided by the Hotel Santa Caterina to park their cars and take convenient public transportation (Naples-Vesuvius railway, Sea subway, SITA bus, etc.) to reach downtown Naples, Sorrento, Amalfi etc.
Our rooms are furnished with great passion: all the materials, furniture and complementary fittings were chosen with great care so that each element contributes to the creation of a harmonious setting which is relaxing and pleasing to the eye.
Color plays a fundamental role and is freely inspired by the splendid frescos brought to life in the archeological excavations in Pompeii: "Pompeii red" is everywhere, in the fabric, rugs, decor, brickwork and even in the veining of the porcelain tiled floor. Red is placed alongside solid cherry wood furniture which was made to measure by a prestigious Tuscan furniture manufacturer.
The bathrooms also reflect this love of detail and create a pleasant contrast from the warm colors of the bedrooms, thanks to the freshness of beautiful white majolica with hints of blue.
Some rooms overlook the Amphitheater in the archeological park, with Vesuvius in the background, while other rooms enjoy the view of the picturesque and majestic Basilica della Madonna del Rosario.
The hotel offers two fully handicap accessible rooms.
