Location
The Hotel Posta is situated in the heart of the historic centre of Reggio Emilia and overlooks Prampolini Square just a few meters from the Cathedral and the Town Hall (where the italian flag was born in 1797), near San Prospero and Ghiara churches, theatres, restaurants, banks and shops.
The building
The Hotel Posta is located in the "Palazzo del Capitano del Popolo", a medieval building that has been a hotel for over five centuries. In 1200, it was the residence of the people's Captain and in 1400 home of Sigismondo d'Este; it became an inn called "Red Hat Inn" in 1515. Eight centuries of history that made it one of the most important sights in town !
The rooms
25 standard rooms, 8 junior suites, 3 superior rooms, 1 honeymoon suite with an evocative canopy bed and 1 large rooftop suite with private terrace. 38 rooms altogether, all in different styles where history and atmosphere blend together. The same feeling is to be found in the common spaces and in the floral style lounge.
Meeting rooms
A large frescoed conference room with an independent entrance containing up to 100 people, a few smaller meeting rooms for private sessions with all modern audio-visual equipment, air conditioning, telephone, Wi-Fi internet connection.
Services
The Hotel Posta is run by its owners who always try to make their guests feel at home. The Concierge and the Manager will just be happy to assist you with any information you might need. All rooms have private bathrooms, air conditioning, minibar, direct dial telephone, television with satellite channels reception, hairdryer, wi-fi internet connection, sky tv, internet point, a small gym with Technogym equipment, and bicycles free of charge. The hotel has a lift, a private garage, laundry, safe and bar.
