The Excelsior Palace Hotel at the moment in course of refurnished of common areas ( Hall, foyer, etc) , underwent a complete renovation of the exterior and also of the 100 rooms equipped of new audio/video replacement. Opening soon the Fitness Club. The Hotels was build in 1891 on the occasion of the Palermo international exposition, (with the first name Hotel de la Paix) and it calls up the past glory of the elegant Liberty style.
Since that time, it has continually been used as a meeting place, for social and entertainment events, all organized within its splendid ballroom, filled with both Italian and foreign visitors and represents even today one of the most important elements of the Palermitan Belle Epoque of the late 19th century. Its Ballroom were always filled with gentlemen and ladies and a cat-walk for the parading nobility.
Its restaurant, which has had an appreciative customers ever since its opening for the National Exhibition of 1891, has always been noted for its cosmopolitan tone and its gastronomic specialities.
The hotel has 118 rooms
of which four are suites, and all furnished with private bathroom (bath and shower), air conditioning and central heating, fridge-bar, telephone, TV including satellite and Sky TV, and a safe.

All rooms are external with a large bathroom/shower. Some have views of the garden.
Delux Suite
Deluxe, are spacious rooms with living corner and bathroom with bathtub and shower.
Suite, are spacious rooms with small living room and large bathroom with bathtub and shower.
A year after restoration work, the Excelsior Palace Hotel now presents some new rooms in Classical Style, elegantly decorated with all the comforts one needs, including Internet and Fax facilities.
Congress rooms
The Excelsior Palace Hotel is the ideal place for hosting business meetings, reunions, gala dinners, or to have a simple cocktail with its friendly and lively atmosphere in a unique and refined setting.
The two ballroom available are: the Manfredi Room (70 square metres) and the Federico Room (45 square metres), which can be arranged to suit the needs of our clients: U-shaped, single table, theatre, etc.
The maximum capacity, in theatre form is, 90 for the Manfredi Room and 60 for the Federico Room
The rooms contain a slide projector, flip chart, overhead projector and on request can be set up to use any kind of multi-media equipment.
It is also possible to organize coffee breaks and working lunches.
The Liberty Hall restaurant
The Liberty Hall restaurant with its rich furnishings, represents one of the most elegant meeting rooms in Palermo, a refined ambience where you can sample the typical Sicilian cuisine as well as international dishes all served to exquisitely excite the taste buds.

Since its inauguration during the National Exhibition of 1891, the restaurant has had an enormous customers and at the time of the exhibition was often filled to capacity. During this period the local newspaper Giornale di Sicilia, published the menu every day which included many of the best specialities from all over Europe.
The exè Restaurant & Bar
The exè Restaurant & Bar is open daily for breakfast from 7.00am - 10.00am; lunch from 12.30pm - 3.00pm and dinner from 7.30pm - 10.30pm.
Breakfast
In the splendid atmosphere of the exè and the cordiality and efficiency of its personnel, the Hotel offers a rich breakfast of coffee, tea and hot chocolate accompanied by fresh pastries, croissants, krapfen and yogurt, as well as bacon and eggs, cheeses and seasonal fruits.
Breakfast is served daily from 7.00am - 10.00am.

The Hall
The entrance is situated in Via Marchese Ugo, protected by a delightful glass and wrought-iron pensile.
