Casa Sola possesses and ancient vocation for agriculture, proof can be found in the ancient and precious photographs which were discovered in the company archives. Here not only vineyards and olives grew but also grain and vegetables for the surrounding lands.Owners of Casa Sola for three generations, The Gambaro Family manages the company since 1960, transferring their passion and respect for this marvellous land into the wine and oil which they produce.

Under the management of Giuseppe Gambaro, Casa Sola had its greatest development and growth when in 1985 he decided to involve himself personally in the running of the business and began to work full time at the company, bringing his experience as a manager and his curiosity and passion for the good things: he became more informed and studied by reading about the fantastic Burgandy wines, he cemented his studies with texts about oenology and viticulture, he practiced techniques and methodologies, and began a delicate process of vineyard, machine and equipment renovation and restoration. Pushed - together with his wife Claudia - by the desire to share the beauty of the place as well as the excellence of wine, he used his real estate knowledge and worked to restore the colonial company houses and gave life to a magnificent agriturismo (farm-stay).

Accomodation

On two facing and equidistant hills from the office headquarters, are situated Poderi Montarsiccio e Ticciaia, two fabulous houses recently restored and functioning as agritourism. In total eleven apartments, all with an independent entrance, built on two floors in order to guarantee more privacy.
They are rustically furnished with old country -style furniture. Comfortable, with their own individual heating and private veranda.

Our lovely swimming pool is situated 600 metres from the apartments amongst the olive trees. It is available for our guests from June to September. Once a week the swimming-pool is open for our guests until midnight. For the evening we illuminate the garden with scenic candles and torches.Available for our guest a barbecue- area and an outdoor wood oven, laundry and dryer premises, telephone and fax service at central reception, wine cellar tours and wine tasting training. There is a space in the garden dedicated entirely to children with table tennis and other outdoor games.At our front desk, you will find all useful information in order to be able to organize cultural or naturalistic itineraries and make the most of your holidays.
