Petroia Castle is a conglomerate of medieval buildings closed within Castle di Petroia walls.
The origin dates back the XII° century. Since it is situated on a strategic location between Gubbio and Perugia, overlooking the Chiascio valley, Petroia Castle was the scene of many important events of the XIII°, XIV° centuries.
The restoration of the entire complex, between 1982 and 1990, aimed at the recuperation of all its parts, almost as if one can read on these walls the history and modification done to the Castle, like if it were written in a guide.
Within the Castello id Petroia walls there are 3 buidings: Castellare Maggiore, Castellare Minore and Mastio.
The rooms, 4 superior, 5 Suite or Junior Suite, and some halls are located in the Castellare Maggiore and Castellare Minore. The room tower is in the Mastio.

The Deluxe room is two level room 50 square meters large, 25 is the room and the same size is the bathroom. In the bathroom there are the shower and a round whirpool bath.
The Suites are from 60 to 90 square meters large and have a separate living room with a sleeping sofa.
The Junior Suites are very large rooms (about 60 square meters); some have a whirpool bath.
The Superior rooms are about 40 square meters and have both whirpool bath and shower.
