The Battistella winery was founded in 1951 in the heart of the Prosecco area, from the love for the land and for the art of winemaking of Fioravante Battistella, head of the family, and his wife Maria Da Re.
The company owns about 50 hectares; 10 ha of vineyards are cultivated with Glera-Prosecco vines, that yields the unmistakable intensely aromatic and crisp wine 'Il Prosecco', with white peach, pear and apricot notes.
All plants have been selected by Fioravante Battistella himself, and the resulting product has great character and personality. The remaining hectares are planted with indigenous and international varieties, such as Grey Pinot, Chardonnay, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
When Mirco and Andrea, in 2009, decided to launch the 'Battistella, il Prosecco' brand, the third generation was warmly welcomed into the ancient family business, carried on with passion and dedication, always seeking excellence in winemaking.
