mostly sunny

Description

Sant'Agata di Militello is a town in the province of Messina, founded by Luigi Callego in 1630, near a Norman tower overlooking the sea.
The Mother Church has been completed in 1928 and preserves important statues by Salvatore Bagnasco. The Church of Carmelo, the castle of of the Princes di Trabìa e Lanza di Scalea and the Ethnoantropological Museum (divided into three sections: Women and Women's Work; the Life and Work of Shepherds and Peasants; Folklore and Religion) are interesting too.
