Description

Presezzo is a small town in the province of Bergamo, founded during the Roman perioda s a military out post. After the fall of the Roman Empire, it passed under the control of the Lombards and the Franks. Finally it was conquered by the Republic of Venice.
The actual municipal area is the resul of the fusion of two villages in the XIII century: Presezzo and Capersegno.
The ruins of the medieval castle of Capersegno, surrounded by colonial houses of the same period, the parish Church of San Fermo and Rustico, built in 1875 on a preexisting building, and the XVII century Palazzo Furietti Carrara, are sites of considerable historical and artistic interest.
