Just completed the reviews of the towns of the Tuscany region

Tuscany is the Italian region where lived famous people of art, from literature to architecture, from sculpture to painting; it is also the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance and of the Italian language, land of excellent cuisine, high quality typical products, unique views and patrician villas, an emblematic example of the power of the Medici family, making Florence a heritage of culture and art.
Heart of the Etruscan civilization, Tuscany was subsequently conquered by the Romans who founded Florentia in 59 b.C.. these are the historical basis of a Region which characterised the Italian Middle Age and Renaissance with its unique towns, such as Pisa, one of the strongest maritime Republic in the Mediterranean area, Siena, Florence's enemy, and the "city of the lily", of course.
Six sites in this region have been declared by UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the historical center of Florence, Piazza dei Miracoli in Pisa, the historical center of Siena, the historical center of Pienza, the historical center of San Gimignano and the Val d'Orcia area.
