27th of November - 20th of December 2008
opening Thursday 27th of November, at 7 .00 pm
As part of the annual event of contemporary art exhibitions of "Accade", the ScalaMata Gallery opens an exhibition in which we may find the photos "Riflessione Contemporanea" (Contemporary Reflection) of Martina Dinato, and the site-specific installations "Intreccio, Fabula" and "Camera Chiara" (Light Room), of Francesco Fonassi and Lucia Caterina Margherita. The exhibition aims to investigate the recent transformations that have taken place in the relationship between space and time.
The effectiveness of a time which is always more fragmented and fleeting and brings us to each instant as capable of infinite issues. The mutating space, that instead hasn't been capable of staying in tune with the liquid modernity, has lost his original
value. Some spaces tend to be cancelled, because there is no interaction between people that would confer them value. Other spaces are almost unperceivable because the instantaneity of time brings to the cancellation of distances and the impossibility of entirely understanding the essence of the urban spaces. The reality in which we live is, so, based on the concept of instantaneity where both the future and the past loose their value and where the spatial variable is subdued to the one of
time.
