Rome
The cycle of "Lezioni romane" (Roman lessons) opens the seventh edition of this festival with talks by Josef Koudelka and Martin Parr. The theme this year is "Vedere la normalità. La fotografia racconta il quotidiano" (Seeing normality. Photography recounts the everyday) and aims to underline how the seventh art reigns supreme as to the narrative potential of the everyday. There will be events, screenings, lectures, presentations and discussions looking at the work of Paolo Woods (presenting "Chinese safari"), Leonie Purchas and Gabriele Basilico. A lot of space is devoted to photojournalism during this festival, reportages on Tokyo and Burma and the work of up-and-coming photographers in the newly opened Pavilion 9C venue in the Mattatoio.
